What is LLL?

Lifelong learning (LLL) is an educational philosophy which promotes learning across the entire lifespan—from childhood through old age. It's about exploring the power of never-ending education, beyond formal school years and traditional classroom modes of learning. It isn’t about exams or grades; it’s a journey of discovery that lasts a lifetime.

Lifelong learners delight in questioning ideas, gaining new perspectives and developing a growth mindset. They understand the value of continuous skill development and knowledge acquisition for both personal and professional enrichment and adaptation to changing circumstances.

The subject of LLL, an emerging interdisciplinary field in its own right, draws from a vast body of research across adult education, cognitive psychology, geragogy workforce trends, assistive technology, neuroscience, and public and social policy to mention a few.
